Gerald Rudolph Ford, Jr. was the 38th President of the United States of America. He became President on August 9, 1974 when Richard Nixon resigned the office. He served until January 20, 1977. President Ford belonged to the Republican Party. He was born July 14, 1913 and died on December 26, 2006.
